Thinking of adding some videos of ArchBang installation on YouTube. Under Virtualbox it is very easy to record a virtual machine. To get started I have done one on Archlabs. Going to regret saying this but Like, Share and Subscribe 😉

New 5.12 kernel and tint2 changes

After a break last am again working on a new release. Seems tint2 is now gtk3 based, so new iso will now include tint2conf (from menu). Looking at a new 32bit version but I need to test installer before release. Have had some feedback regarding an error in abinstall, seems to be a path error. New 5.12 kernel and tint2 changes

Weekend Away…

No iso update this week as I am away at the moment. Things are easing a little in the UK and we have really not been anywhere for well over six months. Sun is out, taking walks along the coastline. Next week will get both isos up to date. Need to look at nvme support. Weekend Away…

Update… weekly iso uploaded.

Just a quick post, new iso mainly new kernel and updated packages. Giving some thought to a graphical installer. It will be off world, meaning not included on iso but loaded during live session in a similar manner to Zen installer. Downside is its relies on a working network. Sorry if I am putting my Update… weekly iso uploaded.

Well I have seen that kernel has updated again, so figured i would build a new iso. Make the most of the regular updates as I do need to start work on autumn release and bring archiso up to date. Will be other minor changes to make. Am aware of nvme devices and the need New kernel, new iso…

An Arch Installer

After reading Archlinux news, they now ship with a python based installer (archinstall). I have not yet tried or tested the python based script but it may be of use to some ArchBang users. Have included it in iso this week should anyone wanting to test it. Basically it is a guided arch install that An Arch Installer

Back to the fox….

Uploading a new updated iso at the moment. Switched back to Firefox for this release. Not much else has changed. Will need to get archiso up to date at some point, with changes happening all the time it is hard to keep up. Will try my best to get ArchBang32 updated this weekend. As always Back to the fox….

Am I making money from Linux?

I use what tools and packages provided to create ArchBang and share my work freely. Am in no way making a living or saving towards my retirement. Costs I have involve the archbang domain and some minimal hosting. Think hosting is around £70 ($100 US) a year currently. If I based a download for a Am I making money from Linux?
