Was testing install over weekend and noticed a small issue with installer. It is nothing serious but I wish to point it out now before I make changes to iso image for future releases. Basically intel/amd microcode are both present in selected boot loader. Installer used to copy code to /boot depending on known cpu … Not so much of an issue but a feature….
I have made a quick update to Spring release to replace i3status with i3blocks. Have seen it before in other distros and thought it over busy for what I need. Am building and will soon upload new Spring iso image for testing. It is marked as an ‘rc’ release would welcome some feedback if there are any issues. No major changes, new wallpaper, themes and added in i3-gaps settings. Also shipping with 6.2.8 kernel. Finally after the long dark nights, spring is around the corner. Am putting together a new release for the end of week/month. No major changes but new wallpaper, theme colours and window gaps. Have added a few pixel gaps to config which can be controlled via Super+[Shift]+[plus/minus] this will allow you to increase, decrease size … Started work on Spring release….
