After reading Archlinux news, they now ship with a python based installer (archinstall). I have not yet tried or tested the python based script but it may be of use to some ArchBang users. Am building and uploading a new iso, added Chrome browser for this version. Kernel update and a minor change that needs testing. Archiso has dropped haveged as entropy for pacman-keys is now part of linux kernel… So you should not see or feel and real change in booting iso (hopefully). Well finally Spring is here and so is a new ArchBang release. Firefox has returned and packages are updated including kernel. No real major changes under the hood from last week. Do not really keep older versions of ArchBang, thought it would be interesting to try to update an old iso. Was linked to a 2012 version of ArchBang sometime ago but I have lost the image/link. If anyone knows where I can grab an older version of ArchBang please drop me an email.
ArchBang iso updated yesterday, basically updated packages. ArchBang32 I have just tested installer and it does work 😉 Post install you do need to set up pacman keys, given you have a working network connection. sudo pacman-key –init sudo pacman-key –populate archlinux sudo pacman-key –populate archlinux32 Check your local servers in /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist are not commented…. … Quick update
