Wait a day and a new kernel appears….
Had to happen I just released Summer iso and the next day kernel 6.4 package lands.. So what is a guy to do well update iso image! Did manage add a small fix to grim for selecting an area of a screen as an image [Super + Print] also so you can view said images … Wait a day and a new kernel appears….
Quite a few fixes and background now works….
Had quite a few issues with last iso image, namely no background or icons on panel. Thankfully have fixed both issues,was simply a case of missing packages. Started working on getting a theme going. Background is a image I took on my phone last weekend. Waybar has many more features as well as some application … Quite a few fixes and background now works….
Quick update with fix
My good friend Joe informed I had an error in sway config, nothing major just some doubled up keybinds all fixed now. Uploaded new image. Might have found a background that I can use for Summer release. Couple of other things are maybe add cpu and ram module to waybar. More work to do so … Quick update with fix
Started work on Summer release… Wayland replaces Xorg….
So I have started work on Summer release, uploading ‘beta’ iso very soon. Have switched from i3 to Sway running under Wayland. Been using Sway on my machines for a couple of weeks now and have got most things working without any major problems. Had tried Wayland a few years ago, nothing seemed to work … Started work on Summer release… Wayland replaces Xorg….

Am going to update iso image in a short while no major changes updated packages and new kernel. Downloads have been quite poor this week, guessing everyone is enjoying the hot weather. Am going to hold off Summer release as I am focused on switching ArchBang to use Sway. As you can imagine I will … Time for an update….

Right updated ArchBang iso with latest packages and have uploaded image. Rebuild Project Vole with some minor changes and have uploaded that image too. Currently running Sway on both my desktop and laptop and for my daily needs have not found any major problems, other than still setting things up.
