I have build and uploaded a new ArchBang image, mostly package updates. Mango 0.18.0 has config changes that may break older versions. If you are having problems with config then follow this link to Mango Website Site
Have checked and run mentioned migration script and worked fine. Basically things like exec-once have gone to exec_once. Also worth reading changelog for new options, auto reload might be something I add for next release.
A little bit disappointed in Omunchy, not really much interest which surprised me given the hype around Omarchy. Guessing the ‘beta’ put people off. Latest version has a raft of changes as well as new syslinux splash which looks amazing. What has been highlighted by this is features that should really be a part of ArchBang. It now follows archiso pacman hooks instead of script setup. Made some changes in mkinicpio installed to reduce initramfs image size. Also you do not need to setup archlinux pacman keys now. So pacman works out of the box post install, but I still recommend installing archlinux-keyring. Opencode is dropped live, make no sense to ship it but it is easy to install via rofi.
Been working on ArchBang for near twenty years now, first helping out then taking over the builds and website. Over the last six months AI has gained that much traction that my work ethic has changed. No longer bound by code, languages or my own technical ability. My only limit is my imagination….
