Microcode in ArchBang

Turns out ArchBang installer is not loading microcode during install. Latest iso (2407) fixes issue. Basically abinstall now checks vender_id and loads microcode into /boot. ArchBang iso runs both amd/intel but image is loaded via a loop device. So /boot does not contain microcode so does not get transferred to new install. A fix for Microcode in ArchBang

Warning old iso issue

A user called barchie contacted me about an issue with isos, turns out that overlay files are still marked as mrgreen:http. Basically I run source files from my /home directory and thought that my build script changed them during creation of iso. Have fixed and uploaded a new iso, removed old versions. This should fix Warning old iso issue

Change back to Openbox

So to install Tiling version open a terminal (Super+Return) and type: sudo abinstall If you want Zen installer then use: Tiling version… installing

Finally summer has arrived

Uploaded Summer Release, no real surprises…just more up to date. Going to spend less time at the keyboard and enjoy the warm weather while it lasts. Now thinking of switching to a tiling window manager in ArchBang, not sure yet which one (dwm would be my choice). I really like bspwm but the lack of Finally summer has arrived
