Am just uploading a new release image of ArchBang for Autumn. New look and updated theme. Also shipping 7.2 kernel that was released only a couple of days ago.
Have made quite a few changes to installer now comes with auto disk setup for faster installs. Usb device detection should you wish to install to an external device. Did find an issue as regards to copy to ram but this too has also been fixed. All in all a hopefully smoother and faster experience.
Archlinux has once again dropped broadcom-wl package instead they now only ship broadcom-wl-dkms. I can ship with it but it does add over 100Mbs to image size so for this ‘rc’ release I have dropped broadcom-wl for now. They have done this in the past and package has returned or at least been in AUR. A mild annoyance but if you do need the drivers then please get in touch.
However after using Omarchy I did find one useful thing:
Dgop is now part of iso image, check it out.
Am currently working on Fruitbang, looking to replace Dank Shell with something much lighter, more on that soon.
