Am uploading a new iso image. This will include latest archlinux kernel and of course updated packages.
Have had some really positive feedback to new release and based on it have made some small changes. Had a few comments on trying to get GParted running under ArchBang Wayland, I did have it in a Settings in main menu but it takes a bit of digging to find it and to be honest the Settings menu was a bit of mess. So I have removed it and added in an old favourite Conky! Not only do you now have keyboard shortcuts shown onscreen, have added one for GParted. Please note this is only live, post install it will be removed for safety [mine not yours!]. Getting Conky to be readable on such a busy background is no mean feat, had to add a bit shadowing to text.
Also made some small changes to theme, that some might notice.
Very close to a full release, then I want to look at making installer even easier. Think the number of local settings is overkill and possibly adding some logging might be a good thing. Tempted to try the idea of a install template or config if you will. It would reduce user interaction to a minimum and just gets the job done. Maybe not disk/partition/filesystem setup although with a preset target drive this also could be made easier. Anyway something to think.
Anyone interested in the ‘ls’ command in screenshot, please contact me and for a few coffees I can tell you how it is done 😉
Stay safe….
