Am just uploading a new iso image, no real changes other than up to date packages and kernel. Sitting here thinking about using Rofi to show open windows rather than have them all in Polybar. It will show current active window which to me is enough. If you want to try it now use, Openbox … Quick iso update, including new kernel 😉

Still no sign of new kernel so I thought I would spend some time this week refreshing look of ArchBang. New themes, colours, background and quite a few changes to overall look. Obconf has gone from iso image [and AUR too it seems!], post install I would suggest lxappearance-obconf [gtk2] or the much heavier obconf-qt. … Spring is finally here….
Think obconf has been part of ArchBang from day one of its first release. Recent changes upstream have meant that Archlinux no longer supports package and now it can only be found in AUR. The bad news is that at the moment package is very broken. Am no expert but I assume the patches are … Loss of an old friend… obconf

Sitting here with a cup of coffee going through ArchBang scripts with my new best friend CoPilot. Think it was more about making my random, sloppy code more readable. Hopefully they work the same as they did before. Have added coloured borders to Openbox windows, this is more to make active ones stand out more. … Small changes some you may even notice…
Well been a busy day, forget to add Firefox package so had to rebuild and upload image twice! Made some other small changes. Noticed an error during install so have fixed an issue with fstab, it will now use full UUIDs rather than PART ones for better security. As a bonus it has simplified the … What on earth have I done….
I run Gmail in Firefox and it normally pulls in all my ArchBang mail from my hosting server. Only recently I have had little or no emails from anyone. I have made some small changes to installer. I was not happy about running mirrorlist with all servers active, it means post install you are mainly using those based in Albania.
