Arch has had a kernel update so have rebuild iso image to more up to date, uploaded and ready to go ….
One thing I did notice was that my custom wallpaper was not being set correctly. This might be because I test iso images under Virtualbox. Anyway Joe at EndeavourOS came to the rescue and kindly offered their own xfce4-desktop.xml [which I modified to suit]. Seems to be working again.
Have not made any other real changes, still looking for a nice gtk3 theme.
Xfce4 is so much easier to use than Openbox, users should find their way around and find what they are looking for without too much trouble. Abinstall still needs to run from a terminal at the moment. Am thinking of adding a install.desktop file to allow it to be accessed from menu. Only real issue with doing that is abinstall needs to run as root/sudo, some users might be worried above that. Of course the menu item could easily be removed post-install.
For now guide should be all you need to get started.
