A quick iso update to include latest kernel…

Been a few weeks since last release of ArchBangX, seems to be doing ok. Have included latest kernel on this image 6.11-2. No other real changes just mostly package updates.

Downloads of iso are doing ok, not had any real feedback to speak of.

Have got a kind of sway version of ArchBang working but testing under a Virtual machine is proving difficult. Have the look and feel I wanted but I have to figured out WayBar to include system tray in a place I can live with. I built it using my own personal sway configs, which came back to bite me as paths in sway config file related to my own home directory. Only added basic keybinds to get up and running. Will need to work on Guide to reflect this.

Two things I am thinking about is switching to Archinstall to do installation, abinstall is getting old and is not as up to date as I would like. Archinstall is actively developed so the install options are involving all the time. I have managed to get a kind of custom profile working with Archinstall, it was a way of simply pulling in source from github then copying files over to target install. Would have to think of a more elaborate script to perform changes needed, but certainly possible.

After a cup of coffee I figured that source files for the most part are already present on iso image. It would be far easier to pull from live image rather than having to install git. All I would need script to do is test for a network connection, run archinstall with custom profile and then add in source files. Simple right 😉

All have a great weekend.

Stay safe….
