Have had a few emails with useful feedback over past week. One of which mentioned issues with very long boot times live. It seems mostly down too pacman-init service. It is used in archiso to set up pacman keys to do this it needs entropy (haveged is used). For some reason it can take quite a long time to run. May need to set it up post boot (on reaching desktop possibly). Not sure which way to go with it at the moment. Am thinking timer service. The other offender is dhcp, now archiso configs use an udev rule to start wired connection. Given ArchBang uses Network Manager it would be better way to handle it. So I have removed this from iso. Also a bit more clean up in installer to remove archiso remains (/etc/initcpio)…. Depending on time I have some of these changes will reach spring release.
