Concerns about change of name….

Just wanted to try to make everyone aware that although ArchBang has a new name the focus of the project remains. Have no intention of giving up archbang.org as you will see in your address bar, greenbang.org simply redirects to it. Sourceforge will remain as ArchBang as it would only confuse new users and old Concerns about change of name….

Hey folks, I’ve been doing some thinking (dangerous, I know 😉). ArchBang has carried me—and hopefully you—through more than a decade of lightweight, no-nonsense Linux goodness. But the times, they are a-changin’, and I’d like the distro to keep growing without bumping into trademark trip-wires or artificial walls. Why even consider a new name? Trademark A Little Green Bang for Your Buck 💚💥

ArchBANG has a new look…

Uploaded an updated image, mostly fresh packages and latest kernel. However I have done a bit of recycling regards to theme, have transferred SwayBang look into ArchBANG. New background, well new to ArchBANG… theme colour changes. Polybar has been refreshed to new colours and have moved date module to give more visual balance. Conky has ArchBANG has a new look…

I can hear ArchBang now….

Not really paid much notice of setting up sound in ArchBang as live I did not see it as such a high priority. To be of any real use you do need a working network connection. However with some user feedback decided to test sound set up in SwayBang and it works. Have now added I can hear ArchBang now….

Getting there….

Another week of working on SwayBang, made quite a few changes mostly configs. Abinstall now supports logging, just add -l or –log to the command and installer will store all the output into /tmp. Not sure how well it will work, could add debug too but would take far more work to setup. Something I Getting there….
