Have wanted to remove the need for a taskbar/panel for a long time. Do have a keybind that shows workspace and which one is active. However a clock is always handy. Okay so I could just buy a desk clock job done but I do want to see workspaces, date and other stats. Found this esp32 which includes screen, buttons, RTC, sdcard slot mic/speaker, battery power [18650]. Still messing around with it at the moment but it is working via wifi and a script is updating workspace indicator….
Both iso images are now running latest kernel 6.19.6 and updated packages. I did notice a small change in foot terminal that I needed to address.
Seems a slight change in syntax in config file, if you see a warning when opening foot terminal change the line:
[colors]
to
[colors-dark]
And you should be good to go.
Am wondering if a lighter theme would suit the current background? To me it looks a little dark. Adding opacity to main menu looks cool but maybe background of panel and menu should be more in line with image….Anyone want round corners on windows?
Do still want to up my game on panel but my plans to use oxwm version would only really work if it is placed at top of screen…never run a panel there as I prefer not to look at it all the time.
Not had too much feedback on new look so I am hoping all is well, as always comments, suggestions are welcome.
