This week mostly messing around with Alpine Linux…..

Have always had a soft spot for Alpine Linux. It ticks so many boxes, fast, light, easy to use and the best part systemd free. But iso building is a complete nightmare until now. With a little help from my AI friend managed to get a working iso image not only to boot but have files/configs and applications present live.

Now the current iso image size is around 380Mbs, which is insane but it is console only at the moment. Compare that to a stripped down Arch iso it would be over double that.

AlpBang [working title] is not anywhere near release yet, need to add quite a bit to get it actually be useful but watch this space…

Back to ArchBang both iso images are rebuilt with latest packages and kernel, they are uploaded and ready to go. SwayBang has a theme update which is still work in progress but check it out as the look and styling will go into ArchBang for next weeks release.

SwayBang Seascape:

Had hoped to get both isos themed up this week but got diverted by Alpine 😉 sorry about that.

Normal service will resume shortly.

Any help towards project in the form of feedback, suggestions, large or small donations are always welcome.

Stay safe…
