ArchBang Spring release ….

I am soon uploading an ‘rc’ version of ArchBang Spring for testing. New themes, wallpaper [well maybe not new but UK has had nothing but rain for weeks now!], colour changes and some minor tweaks. Openbox has returned along with tint2 and conky. Archinstall is still present at the moment as well as tmux for ArchBang Spring release ….

New kernel new iso image…

Have just rebuilt iso image with 6.7.6. Uploading now as I type. No major changes just updated packages. Had no feedback on DWM so guessing no one is really interested in it. Shame as it is an easy way to try out a tiling window manager without the pain of configuring it ๐Ÿ˜‰ Been running New kernel new iso image…

ArchBang now ships with DWM….

I have added DWM tiling window manager to ArchBang for anyone who wishes to try it out. DWM is not in Arch repos so is included as a binary that you have to update every time you make a change to its config file [or patch it]. You will find everything in dwm folder in ArchBang now ships with DWM….

New kernel new iso image

Am back now from my short break, to a new kernel update. Image is built and am uploading now. No other major changes other than I have dropped xf86-video-openchrome support. If anyone still needs package then please let me know. Did not notice I had it built on my system via AUR [a quick pacman New kernel new iso image

No iso this weekend….

I am away for a few days so will not be updating iso image. Will of course update on my return ๐Ÿ˜‰ Am trying to get my own desktop/workflow in order. Have used i3 window manager for many years and am just used to how it works. Some things I want to change are where No iso this weekend….

Just a heads up, error in abinstall…

Seems abinstall is broken in last release, have rebuilt iso image and have uploaded gitlab version of abinstall. Have a feeling I had a bad swapfile in vim [my excuse]. Error was with mkinicpio function being missing. Should be fixed now. Thanks to Eight Ball and SL for the heads up ๐Ÿ˜‰ Stay safe….

Goodbye Rofi, hello Dmenu…

Just built and uploaded a new iso image, comes with latest packages and kernel. With removal of abserver decided that rofi really was not needed any more and have switched to dmenu. Same keybind Super+r give it a go ๐Ÿ˜‰ Was looking at latest release from Bunsenlabs Boron. It is based on CrunchBang, Archbang was Goodbye Rofi, hello Dmenu…
